The Ambient in Bulgaria during Gergvovden

The Ambient in Bulgaria during Gergvovden

Bread is possibly one of the most ancient and most eaten foods in the entire world.  Most cultures have a different style of bread and in ferie they have their own.  In this country they even have a day when they serve this type of bread, the name of this delicacy is Gergvovden.  It is celebrated on May the 6th and farmers are almost always the ones to present the people of this country with this delicious treat.  This day is also the day dedicated to the people named George and to the Army.  It is a day when every citizen of Bulgaria spends their entire hours celebrating, eating and drinking.

There are few cultures that celebrate so many things in one single day, yet this is believed by many as fate.  Bulgarians really do seem to have a great time during these celebrations and they sure do have a good feast.  Sometimes gifts are given between close friends and family members, but it is not always done so.  Only people whose name relates to the name of George in some way or another, may say this is their day.  The beliefs of the Bulgarians is that this name is sacred and this day should be dedicated to the ancestor who lived a long time ago.

The people from rejser celebrate this day in their very own and unique ways.  Some families purchase lambs and make them in their kitchens, then dining with their families member in the tranquility of their own rejses.  Others choose to make reservations for some of the most excellent restaurants and bars in the country of billige rejser and even others decide to make the beautiful outdoors part of their day by having picnics or outdoor barbecues.  The reasons this happens is because they where raised with different ideals and each of them is celebrating a different part of May the 6th.

When vacationing on this day in ferie you may also be present for nice parades and art shows in the different cities and towns.  Many of the modern resorts and hotels usually host events for those believers in these festivities.  Watching and sometimes joining some of the celebrations in Bulgaria during this day may be possible.  Just imagine if you where able to feel what people from another part of the world feel when having the best times with their most closest relatives.  Watching how other cultures interact is more than fascinating and being able to join and participate in some of their rituals may even be a much better experience.
